Terms of Collaboration
Our Role
Bioinnovit acts as a general contractor for consulting assignments and therefore also as the contractor for the assignment itself. We take care of all the contractual and business portions of the assignment and let the scientist focus on science. We will also provide a format for the Client Report and will package & quality control the report before delivery to Client. Assignments undergo an underwriting-like process by an Experts Panel to identify the best expertise for the assignment within our Experts Network.
Consulting Fees
When we quote the cost of the assignment to Client we will quote costs of carrying out the assignment (Direct Costs for Scouting, Due Diligence, expert Opinions, etc., quoted by the scientist), plus an overhead to cover our administrative & business development work.
Example: Direct Costs = 100: we quote to client 100 + overhead, and VAT or other applicable taxes.
Travel
The majority of the assignments will be arranged remotely via web, email, telephone or videoconference. There may be the need, but this is decided at the onset of the assignment itself, for site visits to locations desired by the Client. Travel expenses are part of the standard economic package that Client is expected to cover and as such are quoted separately.
To Join our Experts Panel
For a limited time & number we are profiling few selected scientists directly on our web site. This is an ongoing process. The profiling decisions are taken at our discretion and have no impact whatsoever on future assignments. They take into consideration, among intangible values, not only the scientific aspects, but also geography, gender, etc..If you would like to join our Experts Panel please send us the following for consideration:
- Description: a 1/2 page description of your " forte" in terms of science, i.e., an area (or at most 2 areas) where you feel very comfortable in competing with the best expertise in the field;
- Key Words: 5 key words related to the area
- Publications: a list of relevant publications in this area in the last 3 years. This is the area where your assignments are likely to fall. And for those we decide to profile, this is the area that will be visible online in a one page profile.
