Sponsored research allows companies to develop close relationships with brilliant scientists and to have priviledged access to their innovation and to enter new fields without investments in infrastructure. 

Negotiating and establishing R&D Collaborations require professional technology transfer specialists skilled at working with industry to match the needs of both academic scientists and their industrial partners.
